Liz Bolin has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education policy development,
state and federal government relations, and strategic planning and implementation.
Liz has served as the deputy chief strategy officer for the University of North Texas
System since April 2022.
In this role, she works closely with the Chief Strategy Office and system and campus
leadership in aligning and implementing strategic priorities. In addition, she works
collaboratively to develop and execute systemwide government relations plans, and
to represent the interests of the UNT System and its institutions with the Texas Legislature
and state government entities, including engaging with legislators, staff, and state
agencies.
From January 2020 through March 2022, Liz served as deputy chief of staff for the
Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) where she provided a senior-level
support and guidance to the commissioner, board, and executive leadership, and lead
the staff of the External Relations and Finance Policy divisions.
Before joining the THECB, Liz was the director of policy and planning for the UNT
System, where she advised the chancellor, presidents, and system officials on higher
education legislative and policy planning issues.
